Ving Tchun is a martial art created about 300 years ago, transmitted from teacher to student, thus preserving the knowledge until today. This is a martial system that makes a person rediscover themselves every time, it is a system with a focus on the inside, in the sense that everything starts from the inside out, the strength and motion are created inside you, we train the body, spirit and inner energy, which makes Ving Tchun a unique system of self-control and improvement. It is very well applicable and effective when it comes to self-defense, because there are no rules and everything is permitted. In our schools we train our mind and emotions, good posture, stability and flexibility.

This is the story of Georgi Mitev from Bulgaria.

For Taijiquan or Tai Chi, as it is commonly known – this is a very ancient art, and represents the other part of Ving Tchun, like yin and yang. I teach Taiji as a practice aimed at awakening the inner energy, the proper work with it and the biomechanics, meditation and breathing practices that are woven into the motions themselves. If I have to define my understanding of Tai Chi, it is meditation in motion. Tai Chi is an art to restore the lost connection with yourself.

Basically, there is no age limit, the earlier one starts, the better, especially for children – this will give them a very good start in everything, as discipline, responsibility, concentration, understanding of the biomechanics of the body, how to recognize aggression and to counteract accordingly in an adequate way, to help each other, to be good partners.

We work with the body and spirit, fear, will, concentration. We learn how to be able to accept, as well as to defend our position, to be able to rule the situation and not be ruled by it, to train our ego. Regarding aggression, I like a parable about a grandfather who told his grandson about the battle waged inside most people, the battle is between two “wolves” inside us.
One of the wolves is the Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, greed, arrogance, resentment, false pride and ego.

The other wolf is the Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, compassion, generosity, truth and faith.

The grandson thought for a minute and asked:
Which of the two wolves wins the battle?
The old man simply replied:
The one you feed.
